Meet the founder

 

Kwaku Sumah

Kwaku is the Founder and Managing Director of Spacehubs Africa, a unique space consultancy supporting policymakers, industry players, investors, and start-ups in the African space industry. He has been active in the space industry for more than half a decade, working as a consultant and KOL for European and African space institutions and companies, including the European Commission, European Space Agency, European Investment Bank, and African Union Commission. His academic background includes degrees in Physics and Astronomy (BSc Hon) from the University of British Columbia and Management (MSc) from the Technical University of Munich.


Meet the team

 
Nelly is a lawyer and space advocate. She promotes space awareness in Africa through public speaking, storytelling and collaborating with public and private entities to organise capacity building projects for students and young professionals. Nelly is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Institute of Space Law. Her Phd research focus has been on Africa-EU space relations. She is also the Regional Coordinator to Africa of the Space Generation Advisory Council.
 

Timothy Ogar

Timothy Ogar is a passionate space enthusiast with a deep interest in aerospace technology and satellite development. He is also an aspiring aircraft engineer studying Aircraft Engineering Technology at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Kaduna, Nigeria. With hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance and communication systems. Beyond academics, he actively contributes to space science education and awareness for students He volunteers with the learn space foundation space organizations to support the growth of the African space sector.

 

Musa Nichols

Musa Dibal Nicholas is an Engineering Designer and Product Developer currently pursuing a master's in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. With expertise in computational engineering, mechanical design, and additive manufacturing. An active IMechE member, he supports STEM outreach and professional development.
